What to bring

  • clothes
  • shoes
  • small house stuff
  • books
  • art
  • accessories
  • unused/lightly used body products

How it works

  • two ppl hold stuff up, if more than 1 person wants something, it goes to the person with less
  • dont say what you brought
  • dont comment on bodies, sizing, gender expression, etc. but ya we wanna feel hot in our new stuff
  • feel free to try on clothes during or after the swap
  • sizing: if there’s something that you’d like to wear as an oversized piece that is closer to someone’s size, it goes to the bigger person
  • If you end up trying something on and not wanting it, toss it back in the middle
  • sit in a moon in front of the people showing stuff
  • all XXL+ discarded items are stored for future swaps
  • leftovers are donated: foyer du monde, shelter for asylum seekers & migrants (rachel & fullum), to refugee claimant montreal facebook group or to L’Asterisk

Accessibility & space details

  • KN95 or higher grade masks are required (extras + tests available at the door), please do not attend if you have symptoms or have been in contact with a covid positive person, even if testing negative.
  • this event is not wheelchair accessible
  • 2 couches and about 10 chairs
  • no music will be played
  • all unrelated chatting is kept for outside the space
  • windows will be open & we will be running a hepa filter
  • metro sherbrooke is an 10ish min walk and there is generally street parking in this area
  • there are 2 flights of stairs to enter the space
  • there is one gender neutral bathroom in the space

This workshop integrates privacy and digital art by guiding community members through concepts of privacy through a femme-centered, expression-based and se⚔️-worker-aligned lens.

Our facilitator, Lockette, will share their framework and formulas for integrating privacy practices into your daily life through art and expression, as opposed to hypervigilance and isolation.

༶ Masks are encouraged but not mandatory. Masks, sanitizer, sinks w/ soap are available.

༶ Windows will be open for air flow, but we don’t have any HEPA filters yet.

༶ Cyber Love Hotel is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible yet. There are 2 mini flights of stairs (5 steps & 4 steps) required to enter.

༶ There is one gender neutral washroom and water is easily accessible.
